Jason L. DeFrancesco, an associate of the firm, has experience in litigation, dispute resolution and shareholder agreements. Mr. DeFrancesco renders opinions on matters related to patentability, patent validity and infringement, and represents clients in all matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. DeFrancesco’s clients include Fortune 100, international and start-up companies.
Mr. DeFrancesco's areas of expertise include matters related to chemical technology, particularly synthetic fertilizers in the agrochemical industry, turbine engine coatings and energy. In addition, he has experience in taxation of consequence to intellectual property transfers between 501 (c)(3) and non-exempt entities.
Mr. DeFrancesco is also team advocate for the “Seven Deserts Expedition” with respect to its international contracts, international compliance and sponsorship agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. DeFrancesco was a sole practitioner in South Florida, representing clients throughout the tri-county region. He also served as a dual clerk and extern in the Office of the Deputy Counsel and in the Biochemical Arts Unit at the USPTO.
