Mark S. Bicks, a partner of the firm, has advised both established and start up domestic and international companies and Fortune 500 clients in patent, trademark and copyright matters for over 30 years.
Mr. Bicks' experience spans the spectrum of intellectual property law including litigation, application preparation, the prosecution of applications before U.S. and foreign agencies, validity and infringement opinions, licensing, and interference and reexamination proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Mr. Bicks specializes in complex mechanical, electromechanical and hydraulic patent matters. He has represented clients before various federal district courts, appellate courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In addition to his trial work, Mr. Bicks also has a significant experience in crafting creative settlements of intellectual property controversies.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bicks was a patent examiner at the USPTO.
