Paul H. Nguyen-Ba, an associate of the firm, has significant experience in patent matters involving the preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications. He counsels clients on matters related to acquiring and protecting IP rights in electrical, computer and mechanical technologies. His clients include international and Fortune 100 and 500 companies.
Mr. Nguyen-Ba’s areas of expertise include presentation processing of electronic documents, operator interface processing, computer graphics processing, selective visual display systems, cryptography, and database and file management data structures. He also specializes in telecommunications, particularly digital media, mobile and network devices.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nguyen-Ba served as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where he focused on document processing and graphical user interface arts. Before the USPTO, Mr. Nguyen-Ba was a patent searcher at Patpro, Inc., where he reviewed invention disclosures and case reports on new technologies in the electrical, computer and mechanical arts.
Mr. Nguyen-Ba is fluent in Vietnamese.
