Wonki Park, an associate of the firm, has significant experience in the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent matters. Mr. Park counsels his clients and provides opinions on patentability, infringement and validity of patents. He represents clients, including Fortune 100 companies, before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Mr. Park’s areas of expertise include matters related to the electrical and mechanical aspects of article handlers such as printers, facsimiles and conveyors. In addition, he has experience in handling electrical patent matters in the areas of semiconductors, control systems, electric arc furnace, nanotechnology, scientific instruments, materials engineering, remote controls, optics and elevators.
On the mechanical side, Mr. Park has handled patent matters in the areas of air-jet looms, internal combustion engines, turbines, medical instruments, power transmission, compressors, conveyors, vehicle components, paper feeders, heat pumps, heat exchangers, hydraulic systems, bearings, filter devices, food production and vertebral fixation devices.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Park ran his own private practice for several years, and before that, he spent five years as an attorney with another IP patent law firm. Before that Mr. Park served as a patent examiner at the USPTO.
Mr. Park is fluent in Korean.
