Harun M. Yimam, a patent agent with the firm, has significant experience in patent matters. Mr. Yimam’s area of expertise is electrical patent applications including interactive video distribution, wireless communications, graphical user interfaces, printed circuit boards, access control and digital media. His clients include domestic, foreign and Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Yimam spent nearly three years as a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where he focused on applications in the technologies of cable TV, wireless communication, user monitoring, commercial insertion/suppression, electronic program guides and television signal processing for dynamic recording or reproducing.
Before the USPTO, Mr. Yimam served as a technical support engineer with TANDBERG, a leading videoconferencing company, where he provided network and equipment support for clients nationwide. Prior to working for Tandberg, Mr. Yimam was an engineer at DuPont LYCRA ® where he worked on updating the polymer line flow of DuPont’s chemical plant in Waynesboro Virginia.
