Stanislav Torgovitsky Elected Partner

Torgovitsky has been instrumental in the firm’s growth and brings significant experience in negotiations, licensing and litigation.

Torgovitsky, who joined the firm in 2004, also has extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and performs infringement and validity studies in electronic and electrical matters, software, business methods and mechanical arts. He also represents clients in appellate proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

His areas of expertise include semiconductor circuit design and manufacturing, telecommunications, optics, laser physics, signal processing, cellular telephony, electronic displays, global positioning systems, computer hardware/software, Internet applications and data processing.

Prior to joining the firm, Torgovitsky spent seven years at a competitive intellectual property firm and nine years providing satellite mission support, and trajectory and propulsion system design for NASA's Flight Dynamics Facility at the Goddard Space Flight Center. Fluent in Russian, Torgovitsky received his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and attended the prestigious Law Studies Program at Cambridge University in England. He also earned his BA degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University.
