Bill Bradley is an experienced patent attorney and seasoned intellectual property litigator. His litigation experience includes a considerable number of district court actions involving patent, trademark, trade dress, copyright, trade secret and antitrust matters. He has litigated patent infringement cases involving a breadth of technologies including biotechnology, chemical compounds, 3-D novelty glasses, smoke detectors, carbon dioxide detectors, linear bearings, radio broadcasting systems, computer architecture, extrusion molding, interconnection circuitry, ground fault circuit interrupters, occupancy sensors and medical devices. He also has significant experience in counseling clients in patent matters including licensing, inventor's rights and portfolio management, with niche practices in green technology and Internet commerce.
His patent drafting experience is broad and includes chemical processes, filters, medical devices, paints, coatings, sound damping composites, cryogenics, metal refining, electrical connectors, radio antennas, photography applications, cameras, household consumer products, health supplements, lubricants, antiviral agents, drug testing, thermocyclers, water toxicity testing, groundwater sampling, laser etching, beverage containers, metal taps, LCD displays, biometric sensors, games, business methods and Internet applications.
Bradley is currently lead counsel in a large multi-defendant patent litigation against several large radio broadcasters and was recently lead counsel in a successful, precedent-setting federal appeal regarding the interpretation of 28 U.S.C. 1447(c).
Bradley received his J.D., with high honors, from George Mason University School of Law and a B.S. in Chemistry from James Madison University (JMU), where he was named a JMU Presidential Chemistry Scholar. While at George Mason, he was a Dean's Scholar and member of the Law Review.
Prior to joining the firm, Bradley spent 13 years with two other law firms focusing on intellectual property. He also spent two years as a law clerk where he drafted patent applications and was involved in all aspects of prosecuting national and international patent applications.
